The Ministry of AYUSH is priviledged to announce the winners of the
Awards for Excellence in IT in AYUSH Sector. The Ministry instituted these
Awards to recognize and promote the excellence in implementation of IT
initiatives that have potential to transform the AYUSH Sector.
2. The Ministry of AYUSH provides focused attention for the development of
education and research in Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa Rigpa and Homoeopathy. Each AYUSH System has its own strength and is holistic
in nature. As per the modern digital era, it is very essential to adopt latest IT innovations in health care for fast & appropriate diagnosis and management of
patients which leads to efficiency, accuracy, quality and transparency in healthcare
and useful for preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative services. The
National Health Policy 2017 also advocates extensive deployment of digital tools
for improving the efficiency and outcome of the healthcare system.
3. The purpose of the award is to:-
(i) Recognize achievements in the area of Information Technology
(ii) Disseminate knowledge on effective methods of designing and
implementing sustainable IT initiatives
(iii) Encourage incremental innovations in successful IT solutions
(iv) Promote and exchange experiences in solving problems, mitigating risks,
resolving issues and planning for success through IT initiatives.
(v) IT as a Game Changer
4. The Awards are given away in two categories:
(a) Gold Award: Rs 1 lakh
(b) Silver Award: Rs 50 thousand
5. Out of 42 applications received, a duly constituted Jury selected 5 winners
based on various parameters like innovation, designing , sustainability , problem
solving, citizen centric, user friendly, utility, coverage
(demographic/geographically), adoptability & scalability and technology used and
